May 27 - June 2
Leviticus 23 - 27; Numbers 1 - 2
Focus: Blessings and Curses
Questions:
1. God states that there are many blessings for obeying His commandments and turning away from sin. Which of these blessings do you see in your life? Think in terms of themes you see such as protection, provision, etc.
2. Only God can truly bless or curse His people. Knowing this, we can also trust in His goodness and His will being the guiding factors in doing so. What do you believe or what have you been taught about blessings and curses? Does it agree with the Bible?

June 3 - 9
Numbers 3 - 9
Focus: Living Purposefully
Questions:
1. Sin is an act of unfaithfulness towards God. In ancient Israel, the people were required to not only confess their sins, but also pay compensation to the one whom the sin was against. Do you merely confess your sins to God without making peace with the person you have sinned against?
2. God states that the priests were to serve God from the age of twenty-five to fifty (Numbers 8). Those who reached the age of fifty were to retire from their work and assist younger priests in performing their service. What if we applied this to pastoral leadership? What are some positives and what are some potential drawbacks?

June 10 - 16
Numbers 10 - 16
Focus: Wrongful Desires
Questions:
1. The people of Israel wept because of their “greedy desires” (Numbers 11:4). They complain about what God has provided and test Him by proclaiming that Egypt had given them much better to eat. Are you saddened by your lack of fulfilled desire? Is the desire good or is it contrary to what God has planned for you?
2. Miriam and Aaron become jealous of Moses and cause God’s anger to burn against them because of it. Miriam and Aaron did not have the same responsibility as Moses, nor the same calling from God, yet they envied his position. Are you envying someone else’s position in life?
June 17 - 23
Number 17 - 23
Focus: Patience
Questions:
1. The Israelites were turned away from their path in the wilderness when the king of Edom denied them passage through his land. Because the Israelites had to take another route, they complained, saying, “Why have you brought us up out of Egypt to die in the wilderness?” Often time when difficulties arise, we forget God’s promise and His future for us. Are you losing focus on God’s future for your life and worrying about the present difficulties?
2. Balak wanted to curse Israel out of fear and missed the opportunity to bless them and thereby be blessed. When we are quick to make a judgment sometimes we miss the opportunity for God to bless us. Can you think back on a time when you were patient and God blessed you? What happened when you were impatient?
