Focus: Spiritual Blindness
Questions:
1. King Ahab sometimes seems to heed Elijah’s words but is almost always against him. What do you think divides King Ahab when he interacts with Elijah?
2. Jezebel commits various wicked deeds and leads Israel astray to serve idols. How did she become a ruler in Israel?

2 Kings 17 - 23
Focus: Communal Chaos
Questions:
1. The nations that settled into Israel were taught the way of God by one Levite who was allowed to return to the land. While learning about the God of Israel, these nations were continuing to commit an obvious sin. What was their sin?
2. How did God defeat the Assyrians? What caused God’s anger to burn against Assyria?

Focus: Imperfect Kings
Questions:
1. Jehu, king of Israel, succeeded in ridding something from within Israel. What was it? What did he fail to do?
2. Jehoash was seven years old when he became king. Why was he successful, even at such a young age? What did he fail to do?

2 Kings 3 - 9
Focus: Great Evil
Questions:
1. The king of the Moabites offered up his own successor, his own son, as a sacrifice upon the wall of his city. Why did he do this? What purpose did it serve?
2. Hazael, the servant of the King of Aram, already had a plan in mind before meeting Elisha. How did Elisha reveal to Hazael that he knew his intention beforehand?
